Ahem. I'll just say a few words about some stuff real quick... while trying not to sound like a fanboy.
I think this story leaves a whole lot of hints that are easy to overlook, and I believe it's intentional. When I first read this, I was pretty much following my own version of the story, but then I read it again, and I gained much wisdom and power.
The hints are everywhere, but they sort of blend in with everything. Take the chapter titles, for instance. There's Alpha, Beta, Gamma, and all those other guys. Okay, Greek letters. Cool. So what? At first glance, the letters don't seem that important. But then, the order gets all messed up with letters appearing multiple times. It turns out they're actually there for a reason. That solves the "which Yang" puzzle.
I think the varying lengths of the chapters is a product of the story's... structure? The whole thing is more like a cascade of events, so maybe it can't be helped that some chapters are longer than others. Maybe.
I really think all the "confusing" aspects of the story make it a lot of fun to reread.
That is all. I have successfully shared my opinion.
Great review, Momentie.
