A starless night, ain't that hauntingly beautiful?
To answer, Yang of the library and Yang of the arena have come to diverge from the same Yang into two completely different entities. This chapter, we are following Yang of the library~
How do we differentiate between the two? Well chapters following Yang of the library's perspective are labelled Beta and the other, Alpha. (For easier differentiation, Yang of the arena will be refered to as YIN, named after the name of the black coat she found at the end of the arena)
As for why YIN was described as a mannequin so much in the previous chapter, it was because she was wrapped with so much cloth to cover her wounds all over her body that she no longer looked human (She did not actually become a mannequin~)
Yang in this chapter retained her memories with the A. Records, not because she had the orb (Pocket watch actually, Jyn had never seen a watch before so he called it a weird metalic object last chapter), but because she experienced the A. Records to its entirety.
Jyn's ability ti speak English and commune with animals isn't that far off from his own explanation: The watch did confer upon him Translation. However, he did not share Yang's experience.
