I think they're interesting - Clearly with a lot of set up for whats to come😄.

That said I do think they lack a goal, there no clear direction for the audience which affects the pacing a little.
That said I'll need to read more and think on it before i could give you a proper answer, those are just my surafce thought😊👍

Up to this point I think you could argue Han was in a dream-like haze or simply going with the flow of his odd new situations - But now the dude is litterally building religous-pyramids to himself as he purposely orchastrares the blood bath of humans probably similar to the ones he's chosen to travel with😅.

I'm starting to wonder if Han might not be such a good guy, does anyone know what killed his parents?
Does han have an aliby for the night of the murder!!!!

Han wait, stop han, what if the lunar empire are the good guys 😅.
That village was decripid, the traders vilanous to each other, the town clearly has a gap between the poor and wealthy.
Perhaps the lunar empire dudes are liberaters or its a civil war - Han before its too late, ask for context my man!🤣😅

I find it interesting that Han pritoitise Elias over the family - If its purely an attraction thing, than the family's mother should have a similiar effect, yet they get no personal maid.😅

I'm probabky just speaking too soon, but it does feel a bit like the family lack a purpose or function in the book thus far?
