Hi there,
This is the former home of my fiction - Unfortunately from drama, to a lack of innovation - To bugs that made the site unusable to me - My books are no longer being hosted here on here.

This in mind I'm leaving this note here to let people with an interest know you can find all my works in updated versions over on RoyalRoad & ScribbleHub - With plans for other releases yet to come.

For more info you can check out the final chapters of either 'UnderCurrent' or 'The Girl He Used to Know' - Which both depict my odd journey with this website😅.
HoneyFeed had its merits, it got me some feedback & I made some good friends here - But it is in effect the training wheels of web-noveling sites - If you are even slightly serious about your art or simply want a website that will teach you proper formatting & has an actual userbase - Then do yourself a favour, take off the training wheels & seek out the website that is right for you😊.

Best Regards,
-Momentie

Erin Yager is a weird one from what I've seen of AoT - Technically the more you learn about him in the first three seasons, the more his outbursts are justified.
That said, damn does he sound ridiculous as a twelve year old talking about how '"were all just cattle man!!'" & '"I'll kill all da' titans"'😂😂😂😂.
Even knowing the reasons why he speaks like that doesn't necessarily alleviate the cringe factor😅.

    __
But with Yalenna I don't think that's what you've displayed at all.

From the beginning we understand her motives, so her relatively rare moments of angst are wholely justify and if anything feel smpyathetic.
Furthermore your story is almost wholly character driven - For example Mushoku Tensei or Attack on Titan are largely story & character driven, meaning that hateable or cringe protags are also framed as objectively heros -Which for some creates an awkward dissonance.

With your book, Yeleenna's story is the whole story - Her interacting with her new family or learning about her old family is all entrenched in her.

So if anything the better comparison would be the likes of Evangellion.

    __
Of course if ya don't like brats I totally get that😂😂😂😂 - Though I will give ya something else to chew on.

Sometimes writing a character type you don't like can lead to a great improvement in your abilities as a writer.
For one thing it forces you to look at the world through an extremely different personality then your own (Something most people including alot of new writers, refuse to do in general😅).
But secondly it makes you think alot more about how They would act.

Citation needed but I believe it was Nigel McCrey of New Tricks writing fame who said that writing the females characters of that show was both incredibly challenging but also very rewarding - Said characters were strong, powerful women with complicated real life backstorys & professional career struggles - And alot of issues to work through.
He by comparison is a middle aged white guy😅 - But I'd agree, his perservence in writing something he isn't naturally related to, lead to some of the best & most natural feeling character writing on British TV to date.

So ya, it might be valuable to persevere through Yaleena's agnst teen phase to see what sort of great women she might some day become - You can always use a time skip lol😂😂😉😉.
And even if you don't like the end product, you might just find it a valuable writing experience 😁👍

Indeed I'd be of the same mind that getting little bits of feedback is definitely useful - It's more me who'es wierd for wanting to be more in-depth on the book at large if ya get me😂.

Ideally I could still comment my small thoughts and then seperately post arc long reviews or something, kinda like how on Mal or IMDb you can post a causal episode discussion or a separate full series review.

That said you touch on a point I Personally do find quite interesting - Many authors and even philosophers bandy around the idea that books are a sort of hyper-intimate social experience, where as the reader you move through the mind and creations of the author, regardless of style & genre.

Webnovels as a format create a sort of new method to this, where you as the author are literally talking to me as the reader via the comments, like-button and view count.
In essence your general audience and your beta-readers are merged into one via platforms akin to regular social media.

It's certainly interesting to think about and although I have qualms with it & the existing websites that provide this service -
Ultimately I think it's a great way for people to express themselves or practise & refine their styles, without having to be actually published authors😊😊.

You aim for One Piece, I'll keep aiming at Gundam - When we both inevitably miss atleast we'll have company😂😂😂😂.

In all seriousness tho I think your outlook is a good one - Again filler is a super-loaded term.
Alot of what people call 'filler' is oftentimes world building or character development.

Like the start and end of your story are the borderpieces of a jigsaw - Everything in-between is 'filler' until you place all the pieces together to get a complete image😉😊.
(Are jigsaws still a metaphor people understand😅? Maybe I should think of a more modern way to word that, lol).

So ya, I like your confidence - Don't worry bout arrogance, they'll always be someone else who'll do that for you, trust me 😂😭😂.

I've been meaning to give my thoughts in more detail but I keep getting waylaid😅 - Once more I find myself late at night on my phone rather then pc, so unfortunately brief is all I got😂.

Which is a shame cause I really wanna have a proper look at this arc - Sit down and have a re-read of the opening prologue, see how it all clicks together.

In all honesty I don't particularly like reviewing webnovels, espically on a site with no edit-comment button or dedicated review tab - Becuase I feel I risk being arrogant or naïve with no way to refine my thoughts when something new inevitably comes to me a few hours after posting😅😅.

For example my first passion is actually anime review rather then writing - And put bluntly 95%+ of the time I will not review a season of anime(or Tv, or more traditional books & light novels/manga in general) without having seen the whole show once if not twice, listened to the Ost seperate to the show and read what others reviews and opinions have to say - In order to get the complete picture ya know?

Yet with webnovels I find myself giving little bits of feedback on an individual chapter, stuff that might be irrelevant if I had the entire picture, or just the context of one single extra chapter being read😂😂.

So that said I honestly haven't decided yet my entire feelings on this arc - You mention the word 'Filler' in your note and that's an apt word here.
Putting aside how loaded of a term it can be, its certainly one that has crossed my mind.

See as of present your story strikes me as anime in style but western fantasy in format - So I ask myself, 'Would you call the hobbits travelling from the Sheier to the first eleven city in Lord of the Rings book 1, filler?' - Well the answer there is obviously No for a myriad of reasons I will refrain from pointing out.

So do I think this 'arc 2' is filler?
I kinda have to pass on the question for now if that makes sense😅.
It's still slightly unclear, to me atleast, whether this book is prodimently character or story driven.

In the case it's story driven, then there may be an arguement for this as filler - But then again it does alot for world-building.

If it's character driven then it's definitely not filler and succeeds greatly in showing us new sides of out heros.

    __
I think the best thing my sleep deprived mind can say right now in relation to this arc, having not given it due consideration yet and without full context of this story as a whole - Is that ultimately it made me smile.

I smiled when the townsfolk came to wave them off, I smiled when Gywn refused to give up and said screw it to staying out of the fight - I smiled whenever old Gus or Adan were so much as mentioned😂.

So if nothing else, much like the first arc, I have genuinely enjoyed the second - And as for the upcoming third?
Well fuck we're going to Vegas baby, how could I not be looking forward to it😁😁!
