Lol, Amma stop reading the comments now before I start replying to them😅 - Generally speaking I like to read everything I can and hear all opinions before writing a review, and perhaps I'll come back and do so but for now I'll stick with the text😅.
__
Firstly, man your giving me some major imposer syndrome with this😂 - To see my book in the same banner position (on the homepage thingy) as this was a few months ago makes me feel super inadequate as I cannot even remotely match the quality of nauce and possible interpritation available here in this book😍😂.
__
Anywho, I'll keep it brief, not looking to contradict those other comments.
This was if nothing else, a pleasure in execution - I feel people calling the stolen baby thing a 'twist' is a little off, becuase it isn't, it's the premise - It's work-out-able from chap 1 and is just such great foreshadowing.
Few stories go this route but it can be truely wonderful when they do & do it well, as it creates a looming sense of tension and dread - You know from page one the mom will get caught, and I think most will put two and two together to know that Davin ain't her real kid.
This isn't a story about the twist - When we read a romance do we not know at the begining that it will probably end in a kiss?
Halo Reach's (the peak of mainstream video game storytelling) opening shot is of the protagonist's discarded and damaged helmet - You know what's coming from ground 0, it's a brillaint way to communicate to the audience that this isn't truely a plot driven story but rather a character or thematic experience.
And I believe the way you handling of it to be truely suberb.

(Sorry if I cut about a bit, I'm on my phone not pc, blame my thumbs for my lack of elaboration😂).
Then we have the content - Again I'm not looking to upset anyone again so I'll avoid the politics for the time being.
But from a story telling perspective I'm down right envious of you.
It takes a genuine bravery and contemplation to write something like this - To spend the time thinking about this from the 'criminals' perspective and then write it from hers to - Well put simply it's what literature of this types all about.
It's upsetting because it questions your automatic beliefs of society.
It asks the all important question or love Vs morality.
What she did is unequivically wrong, the story makes that plenty clear, she says as much in her own words and she gets hit by the heavy hand of the law for it.
But love isn't logical; gving your life up to treasure and raise a child is still love - corropted certainly but that doesn't invalid her feelings.
Love doesn't make it right either but we as the privlaged, as the ones who in this case haven't had to kidnap a child - We have only one job to take with that privalge as with any other kind - To understand why someone would kidnap a child, to see their perspective, both so we can better support those around us, give thanks for our own better situations and try to prevent similar happenings from occuring in the future.
It's easier to be angry or put labels on every little action in this world but ultimately it is so much harder to sit down and go;
'Ok, I know this is wrong - But still, why did they do it? And was their love any less real then my uncorrupted world views and beliefs and love?'.

So yea, keeping in mind people read my comments Apprently lol, I'll leave it there and try to avoid any further politics😅.
But genuinely in other circumstances I feel I could very much so write an eassy praising this as long as the story itself is.
I'm not trying to over praise you or anything but I found this to be of the highest caliber of any webnovel I've come across and you should be really proud - I'm looking forward to getting round to more of your work, as your nuace and well thought-out ideas countinues to impress me greatly.
It's been a pleasure reading😊👍.
