Chapter Notes;

Hello again!
So here we are moving into the last quarter of this little novella - At my current rate we should reach ep12 and be finished for around the 10th, that's a whole day to spare before the monthly challenge ends๐! (Not that there's a prize or anything, just pride I guess, lol๐
).

A few thought to add here (Feel free to skip if your a fan of 'Death of the Author' and would rather not know what I'm thinking);
First I'm happy to say I've settled on the ending, while the direction has stayed fixed, the ending certainly changed around a few times, and moved up and down on the *"Happy Ending - Tragic Ending"* slider quite alot๐
- But I'm satisfied with where in now sits.
In this last few chapters we have Valentines, the finally and ep10 which is a chapter that comes somewhat close to my own self and I hope will be as interesting for you guys as it was for me writing.
This chapter you just read was maybe the one I was least sure of out of the whole thing and is one I might revise on future drafts.
Originally there was a whole military meeting and stuff after Gem's dual but I felt it best to cut away some of the more superfluous fat.

My aim with the trio of dreams was to show the different stages of Gem and Aardig's lives in comparison to modern day Pierre and Maka's peaceful time together.
Ep 3 being the younger version of the duo on a fun adventure together with their friends. Their respective hopes and dreams intact.
Ep 6's nightmare depicting the day Aardig became a legendary warrior who Gem could never hope to compete with again.
And finally this Ep9, being the results of Aardig's power - A more rugged Gem wasting his time picking petty fights, while struggling to do his best to properly support Aardig - While she slowly dwindles more and more into a figure from the history books, rather then being an actual person of her own/In her own right.
Not sure how well all that came across so feel free to let me know what you think. Or if you think the dreams are all over-complicated filler, then feel free to say so๐๐๐คฃ๐คฃ.

Oh also did up another cover on cheap photoshop - I think I much prefer this concept, I may have to commision an artist at some point๐.
