i know i've said a certain chapter is 'one of the most important' many times before now, but i think this one specifically is a 'turning point'. It is as if a planted seed that may one day bloom.
Now, all of these apprehensions, whether physically or mentally imposed, are wholly opaque, having the ability to walk through them if so chosen to.
This was a bit of Agreste's brash recklessness. This is also a planted seed, moreso for the sequel, so its not too big a deal to pay attention to it.
'the sky' is given another meaning, and quite literally becomes a literal expanse of his perception of the world. Lilac has always been a parallel to his forgetfulness, and now that he isn't crippled by illness, it turns towards that coinside of 'remembrance'.
I wanted to show his perception of his parents, because 'hating' them has also always been his choice. Having been abandoned. so that he would not have to live the life of an outlaw, was their choice. Perceiving that as a slight was his choice. Allowing it to rule his life, and his relationships, was his choice. Now, it is his choice to forgive them, and remember their happier memories.
Now, he has finally 'chosen' to fulfill his dream, for he has 'chosen' to grow wings.
Please keep these 'choices' in mind as you continue reading. ^^
As always, I appreciate your continued support. The first thing I look for when I wake up in the morning is your silly little essay breaking down all my hard work. 😂💜
