The dragons can inscribe runes on items to infuse them with magic, and make magical tools. That's so freaking cool, it really is like a coding language, but also can make electricity, and also possibly do things beyond the realm of modern technology. (Anti-gravity enchantments come to mind!)
Hm the family dynamics thicken. Akki and Gua aren't actually on good talking terms, huh? Maybe Chief-san really does look like the person in the portrait.
