Ooh!! Yes! Always excited for more elves #ElfGang 🧝‍♀️ And also really liking the way you've brought in Yuuma's work anxiety as a parallel to the judgements he feels here in this world! I'm excited to watch him grow and change, as he works through those struggles ❤️ (Well, after figuring out somewhere more stable to live first 🤣 I wonder how long Celicia's dad will put up with Yuuma crashing in the workshop?) The concept of "otherworlders" being a known thing here is also a unique take, that puts a little different spin on the Isekai!!

The one thing I would say is that this chapter was a whole big ol' sandwich of story juiciness 🤣🥪 But you might consider splitting in half at one of your story break spots!! Since for the competition, the chapters are supposed to be around 1,000 ~ 1,500 words, and I think this is about double that? 🤔 So you might want to make this into two chapters 😁

FIREWORKS!!!! 🎆 I know a lot of stories have done fireworks at festivals, so I wanted to put my own twist on the old classic 😉 because magic fireworks under a colorful moon? Man I'd love to see that in person!!! 🤩

The Tanabata myth is the secret inspiration here 😉 obviously, I did not stick to the original tale at all, but the star-crossed lovers theme (and all the bamboo 🤣) were inspired by the holiday.

From the beginning of my story, I wanted to include some kind of festival because of my Tanabata inspiration. But I wanted to do something a little different then normal. And somewhere in there my mind thought "What if we did a moon festival...but ~painted~ it with magic so basically the moon is a giant rainbow disco ball? 🪩"
🤣 I don't know where these ideas come from. But I made it work!!

Ahaha I like Mason, but don't get me wrong I like Layn too honestly rooting for them to become...hmm, not exactly "friends" but maybe they can mutually respect each other?

I feel like Mason has the talent/courage that Layn lacks, and Layn has the heart/genuineness that Mason lacks, and the two could actually have a lot to unexpectedly teach each other. (Or they can just be rivals 😆)

For now, the amygdala is a good choice! Like you said, many parts of the brain are connected. It's hard to say exactly which brain part would lead to a problem like this. Narratively, I don't think you need to change much. It's better to keep the medical stuff simple, so readers can get the idea without being overloaded 👍
(I just happen to have an interest in the subject 🤣 so I will always overthink it. )

I've definitely watched all those movies, so I have no excuse 🤣 I was just that kid whose brain was on cartoons and anime. (I had a phase where I refused to watch anything with real actors #2DLife)

I've been trying to think now of a Jojo quote you could use. But most memorable ones are too short for this format 😆 "Oh? Are you approaching me?" And just "Ora ora ora!!" Wouldn't really work. "It was me, Dio!"

"The next thing you're going to say is..." "...is this a JoJo reference?"
