Yes! It's more of a relaxed festival based off of local harvest events I've been to, and flower festivals. So I was definitely leaning more Netherlands/Belgium for inspiration than Japan/China. But also, knowing they don't have electricity or AC (or magic equivalent) I assume they would get pretty exhausted putting this all together 🤣 so things would wrap up quicker than a modern day event (I say, having decided to do a bonfire scene in summer...which would be insanely hot. So. Okay. Realism is still at a minimum. Maybe the bonfire was magic fire?)
But yes! I did originally have the festival longer (there's actually a whole chapter's worth of cut description 🥲) But based on the time/words I've got left, it hit the editing room floor 😆 and we're not quite done with the dance yet! So there's still a lil bit more festival to be had!
