I interpreted the line more like... 🤔 Hmm. It's like how Layn is trying to mentally struggle with comprehending his relationship with Lucia, and he's falling back on older memories to try to explain his current situation. (Even if those older memories are kind of fuzzy memories of values he might have been taught on Earth!)

I think of Layn as having low confidence, but not being broken <3 But maybe that's just because I want to see the best in him 😆 I always try to focus on positive! Fight on, Layn!! You'll get there! ❤️

Oh man touring movie sets is one of the coolest things!!! 🤩 But ahaha enter the Aniki! He's teasing Takurō already (as every big brother does 🤭) Already making guesses about Takurō's romantic potential!

Also blackmail photos? Seems Ichika has been giving lessons 😏

But everyone dressed up as elves is so cute!!! And it gives Takurō a chance to experience the weight and responsibility of a film camera! (You either take lots of photos and hope one develops right, or you spend forever learning how to get the shot right the first time 🤣)

Oooh I'm hoping Asahiro can maybe help things move on the romance front 😉 maybe. Aniki might just make things worse 🤣🤣 that's also what older brothers do!

Takurō slowly realizing that he might have just met the one person who could seriously turn his play scripts into an actual movie (though I don't think he would be the type to ask Ashiya for that kind of favor 🤣)

Maybe "doesn't feel emotions" is a simplification 🤔 because brain surgeries can change all kinds of things, and emotions still exist in *some* form (even if severely blunted) as long as a human is still functionally alive. So it might be closer for Mika to say "I don't experience emotions the way is expected for other people because my brain no longer fires neurons to the intended locations" but that's way too long 🤣

Saya is trying her best here! But she might need a bit more time with Mika to get used to the way he reacts to things 😆 but hey she considers them friends!! I'm glad she didn't push Mika away after learning about his condition!

A little drenched but I'm glad Mika and Saya are both alright! With all these Isekai stories in this competition I've gotten a bit nervous whenever a car drives by for a close call >w>

Saya trying her best to offer help while Mika is still going "???" is kind of adorable 🥹 He didn't understand the implications of a girl inviting him over at all...and I find that refreshing 🤣 Eventually Saya will figure out that she needs to tell everything to Mika as clearly and literally as possible, because social cues and hints aren't going to work on him!

Oh wait. Wait. Every item Layn manifests and every bit of power he uses is killing him? 😭 But I guess we don't know how much energy limit he has. Maybe he was going to exist as a chain for a 1000 years and using up this small energy only lowers that time a bit. (Plus again, I think he's bound to Lucia's lifespan as well?)

Also are Alwey and Selina...secretly in a relationship? 😏 Or am I just reading too far into things?

Oooh but more allies!! Nice! Always good to have a team for battle! Curious to get to know these characters more in the upcoming chapters~ and to see how Layn's training pays off in this fight!

Oooh Layn is totally right! We don't really know yet what happens to a Chain if they get grievously hurt! So he can die of exhaustion :( and they'll always try to materialize a body. Even if it wastes energy or reforms wrong 😭 oh shoot does that mean they might go a teeny bit body horror if they get a limb hacked off? Oof!

So staying calm and rational is the best approach here for healing wounds...that's going to be tough!

Also like, I feel like you may have covered this in the beginning of the story and I'm forgetting now...but I'm guessing if Lucia dies, Layn's soul is released from the contract 😭 which is basically like him dying too? So he kind of has to prioritize protecting her first, right?

Two ice creams and a crying Robin. I'm glad Andrea listened to his cries and brought him ice cream ❤️ she's trying to help!! She's doing the best she can to fill the awkward silence by talking!

And finally Robin tells her the truth. That had to be so hard for him to say, but I think it was important to get that off his chest! And Andrea tells her truth in return: socializing is something she's also tried so hard to do, and failed at again and again 😣

And now Andrea and Robin both have a friend!! Someone who understands their pain and wants to support them 🥰 and I really hope she can encourage Robin to enjoy soccer again!!

Hmm with Jace and Nikita feeling nothing in their hearts for each other (despite being formally engaged) I have to wonder if the curse is already impacting them there 🤔 ensuring that Jace would never be happy with his "current fiancee" kind of thing!

I also feel like there's got to be a way to break this curse 😤

Jace and Momoka dancing together sounds so beautiful though 😍 and I'm going to be happy for these cute moments as long as I can!! Because I worry about the looming conflict here that might try to break them apart 😭
