Hmmm, it's interesting. I like the idea of this forging from some ones naïve believability of a lie, but I feel it ends too fast, like it could have made a more dramatic moment later on. There are also a few moments of grammatical errors throughout, but I will say your prose, when describing your characters pastimes and what they're doing is very cozy, it feels like I'm a kid reading in his favorite chair. Take from that what you will.
