Stan must have had an interesting past to have acted in such a manner. I'm not sure if the way you've tried to introduce this is a good one but I'm not experienced enough to come up with actual advice. Though there's one thing I can say with certainty. Sometimes I feel like the story lacks a sense of direction by which I mean that I'm not always able to understand why certain scenes and events take place, why certain characters are introduced and interacting in certain ways. Maybe I'm just dumb but that's the feeling I've been having for a while now and I thought I should mention it.
I still like your story, don't worry, it's one of very few I'm actually up to date with. I especially like Kiri and Stan. They're really cool characters and their interactions are always pretty funny. Moreover, they're both struggling, they're imperfect, they make mistakes. That makes them interesting after all. And they're gradually getting closer to each other again which is a promising sign for this story. Will they get back together soon? And will we learn more about their dark pasts? I can't wait to find out 👍
