Yay, progression indeed!

You're completely right, it's not yet romantic but we'll get there. I'm aiming for a gradually progressing relationship. That way it feels like a confession (will there even be one? Not telling) has a lot more weight when it happens and every 'upgrade' feels earned.

(I'm struggling hard to achieve this smooth progression in my chapter plan recently, it's really hard to balance...)

Yes, but she also kinda admitted that she really liked him back then, you can read it either way haha.

Reading between the lines here and there, she'd still prefer the old him but she got little choice but to put her hopes into Keiichi trying to change himself. And he's a good guy for attempting it.

It's all going to make a lot more sense once the backstory drops.

Thanks, yeah him making that realization really helps him to deal with Koyori's complicated affection toward him. She's acting so childish that it's never easy to tell what she's really thinking or how much she actually understands.

The Dad lecture felt extremely real, once again showing your ability to write amazing dialogue. I really liked the Sayu vs Ayaza line of thought as well, shows that Touma really put some decent amount of fantasizing into this.

Miho may be my favorite character in this story so far. I can't even explain it, there's just something about the way she's written that I really dig.

This chapter is more of a Slice of Life chapter which might explain the lack of direction you mentioned. I originally only planned to write a paragraph or two before they enter his room but then I had this sudden picture of a haunted house in my mind and the rest wrote itself 👀

I thought, while proofreading this, that's it's actually pretty cute and funny so I decided to keep it for now.

There wasn't a timeskip btw. 6 ends just before he climbs up the ladder to the 2nd floor and 7 directly picks up from there. Hope that clarifies it.
