I really like how you're trying to develop your characters with these phychological questions, testing their resolve.

Feels like the worst has passed for John but it nonetheless doesn't really feel like a victory for either of them.

I'm curious what the story has in store next 😜

I was expecting an epic fight, instead I got a cool backstory. I can't complain, it's a great move to explain Abigail as a character, her ambitions and problems.

Idk why but Stan reminds me more and more of Okazaki from Clannad, helping others out of boredom and kindness.

I'm curious what John has to say about the semi-rejection lol.

I really like this little side arc. Just a little worried because there's a lot less Stan x Kiri content atm.

Sorry for the break, was struggling with this chapter so I wrote some chapters in my backlog instead 🙃 Therefore, I'm uploading chapter 18 today as well!

Also gave 14-16 a small overhaul, as I had to post them without properly checking them for grammar issues due to being away from home for a week.

I do realize it's a bit of a filler chapter but I'm setting things up for the coming two days in the story when things start getting interesting so stay tuned, it's about to get really cute 😜

Yay, progression indeed!

You're completely right, it's not yet romantic but we'll get there. I'm aiming for a gradually progressing relationship. That way it feels like a confession (will there even be one? Not telling) has a lot more weight when it happens and every 'upgrade' feels earned.

(I'm struggling hard to achieve this smooth progression in my chapter plan recently, it's really hard to balance...)

Yes, but she also kinda admitted that she really liked him back then, you can read it either way haha.

Reading between the lines here and there, she'd still prefer the old him but she got little choice but to put her hopes into Keiichi trying to change himself. And he's a good guy for attempting it.

It's all going to make a lot more sense once the backstory drops.

Thanks, yeah him making that realization really helps him to deal with Koyori's complicated affection toward him. She's acting so childish that it's never easy to tell what she's really thinking or how much she actually understands.

I use my Klee in a burgeon set up nowadays (Xingqiu, Klee, Nahida Yao Yao) it gave her quite a boost in damage ^^
