Author's Commentary #590:
Time to talk about Chapter 590: Lada Hada in the house.
If you remember the initial Pre-6B chapters, you might remember that Lada was initially introduced in them, but as a Russian SPCM, not a JAO DSPCM. I did give her bio then, but since the chapter was cut and will likely appear later on down the line revised, along with the other cut Pre-6B chapters, I'll do her bio here since this is now technically her debut chapter.
ラダ・ハダ (Lada Hada) is how Lada's name would be spelled in katakana. Лада Хада (Lada Hada) is how it would be spelled in Russian. לאַדאַ האַדאַ (Lada Hada) is how it would be spelled in Yiddish.

Her birthday is August 7th, which is name day for Lada in the Czech Republic.
Her favorite piece is the queen.
Lada hails from Birobidzhan, which is the administrative center of Russia's Jewish Autonomous Oblast. She serves as the city's DSPCM, but is also a rapper. She's fluent in Russian, Japanese, Yiddish, Hebrew, Chinese and English. In her original design, her dreads were all violet, but I decided to give her rainbow locks for a few reasons. First, she's bisexual, and two, the flag of the JAO actually features a rainbow in the center of a white background. One other fun fact about her is that she's not a huge fan of modern Hebrew, mainly due to the contentious relationship between it and Yiddish.
As stated in the chapter, in this universe, the JAO now has more autonomy than it's real-world counterpart in the form of official national sports teams. This means that even though it's part of Russia, it can have DSPCMs of it's own. The chapter also confirms that despite the USA having a maestro and SPCMs, the US territories have DSPCMs of their own. In fact, the overseas territories of all nations in the world here are treated as separate entities when it comes to sports here.
As for the game, it was played against Chess.com's 2000-rated level 16 engine bot, yet even I was surprised by how quickly it ended. I had no complaints though as the shorter the game, the easier it is for me to write.
And now, this might signal the end of the round unless I decide last-minute to sneak in one more game. Regardless of what I do, the next chapter I have lined up will likely still be the one that occurs next chronologically. Speaking of chapters, we're now 10 away from the big 600. That means you can expect some fanservice soon. I have an idea of what the chapter's contents will be, the only issue is slotting it into the story as it will occur before Season 9 ends. This might lead to me doing some minor retconning and pushing the rest day until after the 5th round, but I might be able to make it work on a day the tournament takes place on.
