Decided to start with this one-shot first.
Your descriptions are on point and, since the very beginning, I could feel something eerie was going on with Hiromi. It was the way she spoke and her mannerisms, especially when her mother cut her finger, made me believe that they could be terrified of their daughter and weren't capable of making a sound.
Apart from that, the innocent tone this has, makes it even darker, so that's good, especially coming from a young protagonist point-of-view who apparently is very detached from the world in the end, being very egocentric in a childish way. Terrifying notion if you ask me if you start thinking about her when she grows up.
