New chapter, new artwork...I feel spoiled right now xD
Okay, now I see the connection with this chapter and the sketch you posted on Twitter, which turned out to be Davis' sketch. This ended up being a better connection than I'd imagined, especially when Davis realized he'd drawn a tank of all things, and how he tried to explain it Viola. Good stuff! And the little tidbit about Mary Glow and the factions was a nice touch to the world of San Desquiciado.
It was nice finally seeing how the weapons shop was, and the description didn't disappoint. I have to wonder about the sign that read, "Violators will be shot. Survivors will be shot again." I automatically made a GTA Vice City connection, so correct me if I'm wrong...
I liked how Davis had a very Davis-esque plan with the store clerk. However, his attitude against using it when Viola was already unnerved said a lot about his character development, and it was nice to see him being more three-dimensional with that sort of boundary. Still, his reaction to her cleavage at the end was a good punchline to bring around the fact that Davis was still Davis...
I'm a little suspicious of the blond man not wanting to remove his hat, and I wonder what Viola saw under his shirt. Also, I'm curious about Davis' prototype he retrieved from unit #22. This chapter sets up some questions that I'll be looking forward to seeing answered, not to mention all the tension building for Lucas and Rio to re-enter the spotlight. I imagine things will really come to a head!
