Overall, if this story doesn't become one of the final contenders for Survival Slaughter category, I would be genuinely surprised. I loved how you kept everything connected and despite treating the characters as sacrificial pawns (Noah's death still bothers me), you had very clever misdirection.
The bad guy is the good guy, the good guy is actually the bad guy, this is not easy to pull off and I loved how you managed it so well.
Hopes for volume 2 and beyond (There better be a volume 2 or I'll be disappointed).
A. Black Science vs Sanctioned (Legal) Science. One of the story's strongest point is how you litter so many things about the world that invites all kinds fan theory. One of the most interesting aspects I want insight is to see the rogue scientists and ethical science and how it influences the world.
B. Consequences of realm destruction: So Dolly's massive destruction of Realm 11 clearly screwed up the HQ, what are those consequences and how is the aftermath being dealt with?
C. The disappearance of Dr. Arlott (again): I would love to know what the master is up to since he disappeared. He probably forsaw Dolly following Netty's footsteps and exploding.
What's great about this story is the next volume can honestly be told from the perspective of any new character and still be relevant given how you ended this volume. So whether you choose to continue Dolly/Runo or a completely different character like the scientist Aaron, your gift for theatrics will keep this book an interesting read for many books to come. Not saying you need to work on the next volume anytime soon, but not continuing with a V2 with such a strong story would feel like a punch in the gut.
The only thing that bothered me was Dolly's sudden transformation (stoic mission driven to emotional trainwreck in just 1 day, even given advice on emotion to another human), but Dolly is actually Miranda, a human in an android body, I feel like I need to dismiss my own complaint, but still I complain
