I want to say though that the reason why Stan was so lifeless in the second half was to contrast his excitement at the end, as well as showing he’s tired of the girl. But i do agree it’s a bit of a drag seeing this guy act lifeless for so long. And regarding the first paragraph, I totally agree that it asks the reader too much to imagine lol. I was going to compare it with those echo you’d see in horror but failed to unfortunately.

Looking at the cover I was expecting this to be straight up wholesomeness but you tricked me hard 😩. Jokes aside, the depressing mentality of the mc is shown through the internal monologue perfectly. I can feel so much emotion it's making me feel my mc is boring lol, gonna have to edit my first chapter after this. Thanks for the experience
