I'm very glad to hear that Kei's progression is working well and that the slow-burn romance isn't too much of a downer (it's just going to get better from here on since we've arrived at 'I like you' level already. I made the progression a little faster than originally planned already after realizing how many words it takes to get there lol.

20 days is indeed a tough deadline but I have some backlog for the coming chapters (my outline started writing itself) and if I really can't make it entirely (there's going to be a part 2 either way) I'll stop a little short and move the drama part into part 2 but I'm trying my best, thanks for the encouragement Geta. To quote Yori-chan here, you're the best 😜

Yeah, I think it's not possible to guess yet what's going on with her. Still, I like reading about theories as well as guessing around myself as a reader lol.

BTW she did get some sleep during her nap but didn't sleep at all in the evening, she's telling the truth here.

Even though I made it sound like it, this isn't the end don't worry. If this story had volumes, this would probably be the end of the first one though.

We spent tons of time on the first day, expect about the same amount of time for the next two weeks of the story. I hope I'll be able to deliver its entirety until the deadline approaches, working tirelessly towards that goal. Your support and feedback mean a lot to me, thanks so much for sticking around! 😀

Due to feedback, starting the next chapter I will stop using the bold text thingy for dialogues. Eventually, I'll also make edits to previous chapters but completing the story comes first.

Yeah, I didn't really know what type of formatting I should use for a chat, never had to use it in my work before because the usual fanfics I write don't have technology like that xD I actually think what you suggested here works better than what I used. (I'm sleepy too so I'll also sleep on it some more myself 😅 )

Yeah, the idea behind the sidetrack chapter was to show an example of him being a typical otaku but it's not really doing the story a favor in hindsight. Might be better to focus on it a bit when Koyori is around, wondering what the heck he's doing or something like that. I could probably cut chapter 2 into chapter 3 but idk how Honeyfeed reacts when I delete a chapter from my story, especially considering that I'd possibly remove all the nice comments here as well 🤔🤔🤔

Yeah thanks it's usually better not to do pure thoughts chapters as these can be a bit boring but that's why I combined it with a bit of "worldbuilding" by describing the area he lives in. Didn't really know how to do it other then "give this poor man a break from Yori-Chan so he can figure this shit out" lol xD

I think I know what you mean. It's my first time writing 1st person narrator so this is in a way a trial for me. Being able to look so intimately into a single character can be a curse and a blessing. There are some things that work a lot better in 3rd person.

Present Tense 1st person kinda encourages you to break the 4th wall like Keiichi often does here. I'm not sure what's better since I'm not very experienced yet but I'll give this some thoughts once I'm more awake (I'm so tired today >_< ).

Keiichi uses the internal monologue less and less as the story progresses btw and says things directly more often as a way to show his growth.

Anyways, glad you still liked the 2nd hand embarrassment here, that's exactly the source of comedy here 🤣

Yeah, writing a story while working full-time is no joke. I can't take a break because there's still so much I need to write. We're not even close to a kiss yet and I have some chapters of dramatic backstory that are needed to understand Koyori better too 😩

I didn't quite understand your first comment. Did I accidentally write too much in my author's note or are you just saying I'm teasing things in my story (which would be true and intended here if that's what you meant ^^)
