I know my story isn't everyone's cup of tea due to the heavy visual images I try to portray to spark the reader's imagination, and it's something I've tried to tone down during the years since I know many people struggle with it. Unfortunately, I became even more of a heavy descriptive writer... In any case, at least I can help you with the characters in that artistic medium since I have almost all the character's artwork at Honeyfeed's Discord. Just ping me and I'll show them to you, it might help visualize every character better, especially for the upcoming chapters!
I like this theory you present, the first time I heard/read someone makes a hypothesis that it might be all the Magical Girls consciousness.
The Observer has their own set of goals, so you might be right, or you might be wrong, upupu. More than an obsession, The Observer is rather analytical as you can see, and see her no more than another specimen/number.
I'm glad this ambiguous prologue gave you multiple possible interpretations!
