Thank you, Konse! This isn't the first time that I've been told my writing is different. Maybe because I'm trying to emulate Tarantino films more than light novels? I'm glad you enjoyed it anyway.

One thing I'd advise you to do in future novels, Cas, is keep chapters down to 1000 words. That way, readers can easily speedily read a chapter and remember where they were the next time they come to read. At the moment, I'm having to use the bookmark feature for the first time ever since your chapters are quite long. Don't change the chapters now, as that might get you disqualified from the competition, but keep it in mind for the next novel you write.

Great that you liked the action scene. The Masquerade is a very rich, powerful, and secretive organisation which get things done in underhanded ways. They don't do things officially, hence why they killed Sam's police squad.
You'll like the training arc, though I'm afraid it isn't anything like the Regular Show.

Alright. This was a nice introduction. Better for your to have started in medias res, but as tell don't show goes, this wasn't bad. Now I'm wondering what these survivors are going to be going up against. Living plants? Plant zombies? Just other survivors? Are you going to bring the environmental politics into focus, or are they going to remain in the background? I'll have to see.
Sometimes that happens, especially when your characters have an accent you don't quite have an understanding of yet.

It was the coldness of the father, the way Sou and Rou say almost the same thing, and because of the cover, I sort of imagined everything as black and white (though, this last part might just be me).
Hilarious synopsis and very funny story. Teenagers using bad superpowers to keep each other from having sex! It's so zany! How do you come up with all these random ideas? Well done!

I guess in future, I should make sure to have at least one fight in every chapter if I'm writing an action novel. That was what I advertised after all. Don't worry, though; there are plenty of fights to come. I think a billion dollars would be enough of a down payment, or whatever the equivalent of that was in 1989. The Masquerade are a very mysterious and powerful organisation, so who knows what they're capable of, oooh! 😱

I did do an open ending, mostly because there was less than two hours left on the countdown timer. 😂 That said, the competition rules did say an open ending would be a plus, so snakes and ladders. Love that you're excited to see more; however, Ana Fowl says we can't write more of our submitted novels until after we're knocked out or win the competition. I'll certainly finish the story should I be knocked out over the next few weeks (highly likely). If I win the competition and get a manga, then I guess you'll just have to read the manga to see what happens next! 😱
I kept everyone alive except Mezu, yes. I wanted people to die, but not too many because I'm attached to these characters too and will be using them in the future.

I'm happy to provide more stories; though, in what form medium, I don't know yet. I hope that Honeyfeed hosts more competitions that I can sink my teeth into.
