I think in Watakoi there's one of the characters who sneaks off and tries to sneakily buy shoujo manga to read....oddly reminiscent of that.
I like that you play around with some of the sort of school anime tropes, like naming the random nameless kids who gossip into the void "supporting cast."
Well, at least the jacket serves as a pretext to see each other again...
I think the cute bits are still entertaining but I think the way you're weaving the drama could probably use some work, the contrast is a bit too stark and not in a way that really strikes me as much as it takes me out of the narrative.
Carmine shouldn't really be surprised that toddlers point out the most revealing things about people, they're usually super insightful...

Hahaha, I also really like scraping stuff from all the side of a bowl. I'm a terrible baker but I find that getting the sides of a bowl clean is pretty therapeutic for me.
