Author's Commentary #189:
Time to talk about Chapter 189: Chess with a cute tsundere.
This was completely made on the fly, which is why it's so short. Basically, it's a crossover with one of my other series, "Will you give this cute tsundere love?". I also decided to finally have Muramasa Jouzu appear here, which means I can finally talk about him. But first, the cute tsundere characters,
ツンデレ ニーナ (Tsundere Nina) is how Nina's name is spelled in Japanese.
Her birthday is December 25th, which is also Christmas.
Her favorite piece is the pawn.
ヨハン・スミス (Johan Smith) is how Johan's name is spelled in katakana.
His birthday is October 12th. I chose this date at random, so there's no greater significance behind why this date is his birthday.
His favorite piece is the pawn.
Now time to talk about Muramasa Jouzu. 村正 上手 (Muramasa Jouzu) is how his name is spelled in Japanese. 上手 means "skillful" while 村正 means "village" and "correct", however, it is also the exact same surname of Sengo Muramasa, a famous Japanese swordsmith.
(If I made any mistakes with the translations, feel free to correct me).
His birthday is October 10th, which he notably shares with Naruto Uzumaki from Naruto, Xanxus from Katekyo Hitman Reborn!, and Gintoki Sakata from Gintama.
His favorite piece, is the pawn AND the king. What, you thought he only had one favorite piece? This guy's an 0mni-god, remember? Though of the two, he prefers the pawn more due to it's greater versatility.
This on the fly chapter ended up spawning a little mini-arc, but the quality and length is probably not going to be as good as the main series. None the less, I hope you enjoy reading about Kisha's interviews and escapades.
That's all for this commentary. I hope you enjoyed it.
