dawwwww thank you. it was truly a delightful novel to write. Tomita quietly became an amazing romantic lead, literally holding two realities together so he and Izhari can heal. it’s a brutal story but the gentle character growth is the core. I wrote this and Songstress as companion pieces in the isekai contest. both focus on hope and healing, just different depictions of it. if you haven’t read songstress definitely check it out one day! it’s even better. and if you want more sadness and character drama framed around cataclysmic magic, Destroyers is basically me taking everything I learned from those two stories and improving. but if you want quiet, gentle melancholy about broken souls healing, check out Star Falls and Petals!
