This is something I’ve thought about too! I love my cat, but I have no doubt she’d jump on something the size of a mouse or bug, as I’ve seen it happen before😰
I definitely think a dog wouldn’t be as viscous, although I have seen my pittie-mix chase squirrels as well😅

I love these survival sorts of stories. The Road and The Hunger Games are some of my favorites, so I’m really enjoying the life or death aspect of your story! You add a lot of detail, too, which is really neat
