Author's Commentary #632:

Time to talk About Chapter 632: Interlude Special #2: Happy Labor Thanksgiving Day.
That's right, I've got the chance to do a holiday-themed chapter without disrupting the main story, so I'm gonna take that chance. As some of you might know, November 23rd, the day this chapter is being uploaded, is Labor Thanksgiving Day in Japan.

This year however, the holiday will be celebrated on a Monday, since the 23rd falls on a Sunday. But in-universe, it's still 2024, so the Laybuhday bros are good. As for the Kerpal from down the block bit, it's a reference to an obscure clip from the What's cookin' Staten Island Labor Day special where Vinny and his friend get prank called by the infamous Kerpal prank call. In the clip, Vinny refers to him as "Kerpal from down the block", and thus the name stuck. That was actually my first exposure to the Kerpal meme.

And for the game, it's short and sweet, ending in 6 moves with a victory for the Laybuhday bros. When it's a Labor Day, their prowess increases.
