At first, I was confused with the big space at the bottom, believing it was a publishing error and the cliffhanger was a powerful gut punch. So far, this introduction chapter has really caught my attention, you have a world exposition that does not feel overexposed, the recounting of daily life, the introduction of the KARMA system as it is instead of an exposition text. Great job with this chapter!
This chapter escalated quickly and quite fast, from a death, murder scene we go to an isekai. I find it a little bit hard to feel sad for Kouhei but we'll see what the future has in store for us. Your descriptions of the first scene were really good nonetheless!! As expected from someone with the power bestowed by the pfp of the queen of omochi-kaeri, hauu!

Question though, Ido believe the image you are using is a fanart, which is against the rules of copyrighted images. Please change it. If is it not a fanart, and the artwork was done by someone for your novel, please let us know. Using a fanart that does not belong to you or copyrighted images result in disqualification!
So far so good, we got the introductions and so far it still feels a bit slow. I understand the pacing now, so I hope to see more of this new cast that has just appeared. The Concept of the Cat Hour is still a mystery and how it works with these particular group of people, so it's wait and see now!
